Perspirometer

It is used in textile quality control laboratories to determine water, phenol, pale, sea water and sweat color fastness. Samples are in contact with multifiber test fabric to make sweat fastness test and they are exposed to two different hystidine solution in the process. Said solutions have alkaline and acidic specifications. Solutions are soaked to the sannples and placed between separator plates on load.

Separate sweat fastness units are used as acidic and alkaline to prevent confusion between different sweat fastnesses. In this case, both 2 units are incubated for 4 hours in incubator at 37± 2 C. Then the units are taken out of the incubator and dried. Color change on the sample and staining on the test fabric are determined by gray scales.

Phenol paleness is determined by another test to be carried out by perspirometer. Single unit perspirometer and standard test materials are incubated 16 hours in the incubator (50±32C temperature).
